The 2023 class is shaping up extremely nicely for the Wisconsin Badgers. Their defense has landed some absolute studs, however that’s nothing new. The offense, however, has landed some studs of their own as well. It seemed to start with the commitment of four-star QB Nick Evers. Now Wisconsin has added a weapon for their QB. WR Trech Kekahuna is a Badger.

On Saturday December 17th, Bishop Gorman wide receiver Trech Kekahuna publicly announced his commitment to Arizona. However, by signing day it appears he has changed his mind to come to Madison. A huge flip for the Wisconsin program. Certainly one of the biggest surprises of the day, Kekahuna, who originally committed to the Badgers in June, has signed with UW, the school announced.
Kekahuna is a four-star prospect per Rivals.com and will bring a different layer to the Wisconsin offense. As native of Hawaii, he played at St. Louis High School. That happens to be the same program that produced UW’s Nick Herbig and Kamo’i Latu. Kekahuna earned an offer at camp and quickly committed.
After the firing Paul Chryst, Kekahuna opted to re-open his recruitment. He earned scholarship offers from Oregon, Utah, Texas A&M, Washington State, Arizona. He had a massive senior season of high school. Kekahuna hauled in 61 passes for 1,330 yards and 22 touchdowns for powerhouse Bishop Gorman. This is certainly huge for the Wisconsin Badgers and has an opportunity to be “the guy” in Madison year one.
