In last night’s victory against Arizona, the Packers suffered a significant loss. Robert Tonyan tore his ACL after making a 32-yard reception.
Tonyan was able to walk to the medical tent under his own power, but ended up going to the locker room and was seen limping badly.
When asked about one of his key offensive players, Coach LaFleur got emotional. He talked about how disappointed he was that a player like Tonyan had to endure this kind of injury; especially after the progress he’s made in the past few seasons.
LaFleur got emotional talking about Bobby Tonyan. He didn’t say how severe his knee injury was but his comments and tone said a lot.
“I’m sick for him. I sick for us. My heart goes out to him.”

Looking forward, the Packers have depth at Tight End, and shouldn’t have to make any big splashes to replace Tonyan.
The Packers will look to move past the injury bug that has been bugging them all season. They take on the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday, November 7th as they look to move to 8-1 on the season.
