The Green Bay Packers have signed running back Patrick Taylor to their active roster. The news comes hours after Green Bay cut running back Kylin Hill. This will mark Taylor’s second time being elevated to the 53-man roster this season.
Green Bay Packers Sign RB Patrick Taylor To Active Roster
Patrick Taylor originally joined the Packers in 2020 as an undrafted free-agent. He has spent his 2022 season switching between the active roster and practice squad. Taylor was signed from the practice squad on September 24, and released on November 1. However, he only played one offensive snap along with 69 special team snaps before he was waived. But two days later, Taylor returned to the Packers practice squad on November 3. Now, Taylor is getting a second chance to make an impact on game day. During Taylor’s NFL career, he has 23 rushes for 89 yards and one touchdown in 16 games.
Nevertheless, with the Packers releasing Kylin Hill on Tuesday, they needed a reliable replacement. Taylor will unquestionably serve as the number three running back behind AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones. However, Taylor’s special teams experience should come in handy on Thursday night against the Tennessee Titans.
