Former Wisconsin Badgers guard A.J. Storr has finally made a decision as to where he is going to play college basketball next season. Storr is transferring to the Kansas Jayhawks, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charnia.
This is a huge get for the Jayhawks and a massive loss for the Badgers. A season ago with Wisconsin, he averaged 16.8 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 0.9 APG. He shot 43.4% from the field and shot 32.0% from three-point land. The Kansas Jayhawks are trying to reload for this season after losing in the second round of the NCAA Tournament a season ago.
Speaking of the NCAA Tournament, Wisconsin lost in the first round of the NCAA Tournament this season against the James Madison Dukes. This is the second consecutive off-season that Storr hit the transfer portal and went to a different school. In the previous offseason, he left the St. John’s Red Storm for the Wisconsin Badgers.
With A.J. Storr officially not coming back to Madison, Wisconsin next season, they will need to find a way to replace his scoring. Wisconsin and head coach Greg Gard will need to find someone in the transfer portal.
Kansas Jayhawks Fans Are Excited For the 2024-2025 Season After They Land Former Wisconsin Badgers Guard A.J. Storr
Badgers fans are not surprised that Storr wanted to leave the program for a different college basketball contender. This is a huge get for Kansas because this is not the first transfer they landed this offseason. They also landed Riley Kugel from the Florida Gators earlier this offseason through the transfer portal.
Kansas fans are excited for next season after this news. This is what they had to say on Twitter:
Correct me if this is wrong… but Kansas potential starting lineup next year is
1. Dajuan Harris
2. Zeke Mayo
3. AJ Storr
4. KJ Adams
5. Hunter Dickinson
Bench: Riley Kugel, Elmarko Jackson, and three high level freshman

AJ Storr was awesome this past season at Wisconsin. Fun to watch and clearly unlocked the offense with his ability. I’m sure he will thrive at Kansas.

Wisconsin just lost AJ Storr to Kansas, now Chucky Hepburn is in the portal. Rough day in Madison.

The fact that Chucky Hepburn is also in the transfer portal is crazy. The Kansas Jayhawks should be thrilled that head coach Bill Self landed a great talent in A.J. Storr and the Wisconsin Badgers fanbase must be losing there minds.
