Around mid-February, it appeared Justin Lewis was winding down his Marquette career. Lewis was playing at a level that appeared to be making him a lock to turn pro following the season. Coming to Marquette, Darryl Morsell had cemented his reputation as a defensive stalwart after winning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year at Maryland in 2021. Morsell has been solid on that end of the floor for Marquette guarding the opponents’ top offensive wing. Morsell’s offense, though, has opened eyes and has been a major boost for the Golden Eagles.
