The Marquette men’s basketball team has hit a bit of a rough patch in February and needs forward David Joplin to rediscover his shooting stroke if it wants to make another deep run in March.

The Badgers have many thinking big led by a dynamic offense featuring the Johns – Tonje and Blackwell.

The past couple years, Tyler Kolek was the engine of the Golden Eagles’ offensive machine, but now Kam Jones has taken over that role going from microwave scorer to all-around offensive star for Marquette, who boast an 18-3 record.

UW-Green Bay hired Doug Gottlieb in what was a talker of a hire, but early results aren’t good as the Phoenix are on a 15-game losing streak. Green Bay hasn’t won since Nov. 19.

The commitments just kept coming last week for Marquette head coach Shaka Smart. With four 2025 players committed to the Golden Eagles, Marquette has the No. 8 recruiting class in 2025, according to Scout. Marquette sizzling on recruiting trail Ian Miletic was the first to commitment in the 2025 class on June 12. Miletic is a smooth 6-foot-7 small forward with a left-handed stroke and is the top-rated player in Illinois according to Scout. With recent bumps up for Jacob Misiorowski to AAA and Cooper Pratt to High-A two of the Milwaukee Brewers’ top prospects earned promotions in the last week. Days later Craig Yoho was promoted to AAA as he quickly shoots up the charts. Outfielder Carlos Rodriguez also was promoted to Nashville and it was just announced Logan Henderson is also getting a promotion to Nashville.
