The Marquette men’s basketball team isn’t being talked about too much this year. A lot of that has to do with the departures of stars Tyler Kolek and Oso Ighodaro from the Golden Eagles. Despite star exits, Marquette has seasoned squad returning Both Kolek and Ighodaro were selected in the NBA Draft. With those significant players gone, expectations weren’t too high for Marquette. The commitments just kept coming last week for Marquette head coach Shaka Smart. With four 2025 players committed to the Golden Eagles, Marquette has the No. 8 recruiting class in 2025, according to Scout. Marquette sizzling on recruiting trail Ian Miletic was the first to commitment in the 2025 class on June 12. Miletic is a smooth 6-foot-7 small forward with a left-handed stroke and is the top-rated player in Illinois according to Scout. With recent bumps up for Jacob Misiorowski to AAA and Cooper Pratt to High-A two of the Milwaukee Brewers’ top prospects earned promotions in the last week. Days later Craig Yoho was promoted to AAA as he quickly shoots up the charts.
