Allen Lazard lands a four-year deal with the New York Jets

A potential domino in the Aaron Rodgers saga may have just fallen. Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard has moved on and will join the New York Jets.

Jordan Schultz is reporting that Lazard has agreed to a four-year deal worth $44M and $22M of that guaranteed with the New York Jets. Lazard leaves Green Bay after four seasons and is now taking the next step in his career.

BREAKING: #Jets are signing FA WR Allen Lazard to a 4-year, $44M deal with $22M guaranteed, sources tell @thescore.

Rumors swirled Monday night that the Jets were interested in Lazard and then on Tuesday morning a deal was ‘close’ to being done. It is now official.

The 27-year-old Lazard caught 169 passes for 2,236 yards and 20 touchdowns in his five seasons with the Packers. After a slow rookie year, Lazard got better as the years went on and had a career season in 2022 as a go-to target for Aaron Rodgers in the Packers offense.

The two could reunite in New York as rumors continue to swirl about a potential deal between the Packers and Jets.
