All eyes are on Aaron Rodgers right now as he gears up for his first season with his new team, the New York Jets. On Saturday, the 10-time Pro Bowler threw a magnificent pass to new teammate Mecole Hardman that had the New York media buzzing.
Naturally, Rodgers also had a mishap in practice, which one particular Twitter account decided to jump on. The four-time All-Pro quarterback was called out for ‘badly underthrowing’ a pass. Unsurprisingly, this development garnered all sorts of reactions on the mean streets of Twitter.
Aaron Rodgers’ Bad Pass has NFL Twitter Up in Arms
The naysayers were in full force after seeing that wayward Aaron Rodgers pass. They saw this as a perfect opportunity to point out just how “washed” the 39-year-old is at this point in his career:
#Jets QB Aaron Rodgers badly underthrows WR Mecole Hardman Jr. on a deep route.
Is age starting to catch up to the 39 year old QB?

He’s been declining that’s why Green Bay parted ways. Jets just wanted him to sell tix and merchandise.

Arod was washed up last year! What do people expect?

While some fans were quick to rip the four-time MVP apart, others also came to his defense. Some supporters firmly believe that it just doesn’t make much sense to predict Rodgers’ upcoming season with the Jets based on one pass:
It was one bad throw……. Calm down

Terrible reach your attempting , show all of his throws in todays practice. Not hanging on to one under throw ! We are in July wtf are we even talking about ?

That’s not no underthrow, that was a good pass breakup.

Even Packers Fans Know That This May Have Been an Overreaction
A handful of Packers fans also had to jump in on the raging debate. One cheesehead, in particular, expressed his relief in no longer having to deal with Aaron Rodgers and all the drama he brings to the table. However, even this loyal Green Bay supporter knows that we may be jumping the gun with the ‘washed’ narrative:
I’m glad Rodgers is gone from the Packers, too much drama. Great memories but it was time. With that said… come on, it was one throw!

What are your thoughts on this? Is Aaron Rodgers truly done for or is he primed for another memorable season in 2023?

If you watched Rodgers the last few years, you know he misses his receivers all the time. Then he blames his receivers.
