Aaron Rodgers offered up encouraging words for rookie receiver Christian Watson
The past few weeks haven’t been easy for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers offense.
But in Week 10, Rodgers and the Packers put up 31 points and completed a big second-half comeback to beat Dallas. And it was sparked by the quarterback and rookie receiver Christian Watson.
Watson finished the game with four receptions for 107 yards and three touchdowns. He was the go-to guy for Rodgers in the game when they needed a big play and the quarterback helped motivate the young receiver during the game.
Per Matt Schneidman, Rodgers offered up words of encouragement for Watson telling him “the ball is still coming your way” after Watson had two drops on the opening drive:
What did Aaron Rodgers say to Christian Watson on the sideline after his two drops on the opening drive?
“The ball is still coming your way, buddy. Let’s get one of these. Let’s make a play.”

Rodgers has been criticized in the past few weeks for his comments. And rightfully so if we are being honest about it. However, this is a VERY good thing to see and shows that Rodgers still cares and is focused on winning.
More importantly, the Packers may have something here with Watson after this game. Now, let’s see if the rookie can keep this up and produce even more. If he does, the Packers may have a legit weapon on its receiving core for Rodgers.
