The Aaron Rodgers saga continues. One of the biggest offseason storylines is where Rodgers will play next season. With Tom Brady announcing his retirement, the Packers QB becomes the big prize. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network went on the Pat McAfee Show and provided some insight into the situation.

Where Will Aaron Rodgers Play?
The biggest question is where Rodgers wants to play. While many have predicted trades to different teams, the decision is ultimately up the Rodgers. If he does not want to play for a certain team, he can threaten retirement. Rapoport thinks that if he wants to come back to Green Bay, he can. “My educated guess is if Aaron Rodgers wants to be back in Green Bay I think there’s a very good chance he’s back in Green Bay,” Rapoport said on the show. No one knows what he wants and he is taking some time to make the decision.
What Should The Packers Do?
If Rodgers will allow it, they should trade him. It sounds like teams are willing to give up a king’s ransom which would benefit the Packers long term. However, I think the Packers are in a win-win situation. If he stays, they get another year of a Hall of Fame caliber QB. If he goes, they get picks and possibly players back to rebuild for the future. It is a position that many teams wish they were in. Many teams have no QB right now and the Packers have two good ones.
Everyone will keep speculating until a decision is made. Some say he is gone. Others say he will stay in Green Bay. Trying to figure out what Aaron Rodgers will do is an impossible puzzle. Packers fans, and the entire NFL, will have to sit and wait for the decision to be announced. Until then, expect a lot more speculation.
