The Bucks had a shocking loss to the Rockets on Sunday night. That was not the worry for many people following the game, however. Khris Middleton exited the game with an ankle injury in the first half. After trying to power through it, he eventually came out of the game and did not return. After the game, head coach Mike Budenholzer gave an update on Khris Middleton’s ankle injury.
Khris Middleton was initially ruled out with a left ankle injury, but #Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said he wanted to check with their medical staff before offering any kind of update:
“He should be fine. It’s a couple of very minor things. Hopefully he’ll be fine.”

Update On Khris Middleton’s Ankle Injury
Bucks fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Budenholzer could not say definitively what the prognosis was but did not seem concerned about the injury. “He should be fine. It’s a couple of very minor things.” Obviously, the medical staff will check Middleton out but the initial news seems positive. While he still could miss some time, he did not suffer a significant ankle injury that will keep him out long term. This was only Middleton’s fifth game back so it is good to hear that the Bucks will probably not lose him again for an extended period of time.
Bucks Playing The Long Game
I’ve said this before about the Bucks. They are going to play the long game with everything this year. They are a playoff-caliber team and are looking to make another run at the NBA Finals. In order to do this, they need to be healthy. Last year, we saw what happened when a significant piece was missing. While they still almost made it, something was missing from the team. The Bucks are not going to risk anything this season.
We will have to keep an eye out for more updates on Khris Middleton’s ankle injury. The Bucks are finally getting healthy and free agent signing Joe Ingles could be back soon as well. The Bucks look to bounce back as the Warriors come to town on Tuesday.
