The Packers and Aaron Rodgers still have things to work out when it comes to the future. Aaron Rodgers has said he doesn’t want to be part of a rebuild. Unfortunately, the Packers have many key players entering free agency or bringing big cap hits next season. Brian Gutekunst and Russ Ball have a plan in place so not to gut the roster , according to Matt LaFleur. Among players going into free agency is Davante Adams. Adams is a true superstar at the position and wants to be the highest paid wide reciever in the NFL. Of course, Aaron Rodgers’ decision plays into Adams’, and vice versa. Recently reports have come out saying there is some optimism from the front office that Aaron Rodgers will be back in 2022. This week, star running back Aaron Jones gave his thoughts.

What to Make of Aaron Jones’ Comments
Obviously Aaron Jones would want the guy that gives the Packers the best chance to win the Super Bowl under center. However, there’s plenty of factors that play into keeping Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. The first being if he even wants to play football any longer. The reason Jones’ comment carries a little extra weight is a viral report from earlier in the week.
Sources: Aaron Rodgers has purchased land and is in the process of building a home in the Nashville-suburb of Franklin (Williamson Co.) Also, source says Rodgers is “open” joining the Titans. Another source says that current Packers teammates do not expect Rodgers back in GB. pic.twitter.com/fEwiL1sthA

Jared Stillman is based in Nashville, and claimed to have sources saying that Pakers’ players are not expecting Rodgers to be back. However, Aaron Jones seems to negate that report. Aaron Jones is as close to Rodgers as anyone else on the team, and he truly believes that Rodgers will be back.
