The Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners agreed to a trade on Tuesday afternoon. Involved in the deal was former 2015 Cy Young award winner Dallas Keuchel as he was acquired by the Brew Crew for cash considerations. Following this news Brewers manager Pat Murphy shared the text he sent to his newest pitcher.
Dallas Keuchel was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the Milwaukee Brewers.

This year Dallas Keuchel has no big league appearances but he has a 3.93 ERA in Triple-A that includes a 1.61 ERA over his last five starts. A season ago he pitched 37.2 innings for the Minnesota Twins and had a 5.97 ERA. Since 2021 his MLB ERA is 6.29 that outside of the Twins includes tenures with the Texas Rangers, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Chicago White Sox.
This year Dallas Keuchel has revamped his pitch arsenal.

At age 36 Dallas Keuchel is still making adjustments. This year the southpaw is throwing more sinkers than ever before with his Triple-A usage of that pitch being 46.5%. With the Twins in 2023 he used the sinker 34% of the time. The Milwaukee Brewers have an infield consisting of three shortstops, so Keuchel has to be happy knowing that he will have a stout defense behind him.
Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy shares a text he sent welcoming Dallas Keuchel to the organization.

When the Brewers acquired Dallas Keuchel he was on a minor league deal. Since the trade Milwaukee has switched their Wednesday, June 26 starting pitcher from Colin Rea to TBD. It’s possible that Keuchel’s new work schedule could include making his debut with the team during the series finale against the Texas Rangers.
