It is late-June and the Milwaukee Brewers have made a trade. One that will certainly have an impact on their ability to compete come the post-season.
As Ken Rosenthal reported, the Brewers have acquired some pitching help.
The Milwaukee Brewers Acquire Massive Help Mid-Way Through The Season
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic on X, the Brewers have acquired left-hander Dallas Keuchel from the Mariners. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports that the Mariners will receive cash considerations in exchange.
Since he was on a minor league deal with the Mariners and was not on the 40-man roster, the Brewers won’t need to add him immediately to the 40-man roster.
Keuchel, 36, pitched in 13 games for the Tacoma Rainers, Seattle’s Triple-A affiliate, and was 7-4 with a 3.93 ERA. A strong starting pitching staff hasn’t been a strength for the Milwaukee Brewers this season. There is no doubt that Keuchel will improve this area.
