Patrick Beverley is now a member of the Milwaukee Bucks. While the trade is not yet official, the 35-year-old has become the newest member of the Bucks after the team acquired him from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Cameron Payne and a second-round pick.
Beverley isn’t going to be Milwaukee’s savior this season, but he is expected to play a significant role under head coach Doc Rivers, who coached the 6-foot-2 guard for three years with the Los Angeles Clippers.
D’Angelo Russell Reacts to Patrick Beverley’s Trade to Milwaukee Bucks
Beverley has been around the block for quite a bit. In fact, Milwaukee will be his seventh team in what has been a colorful 11-year NBA career.
One player who Beverley had the privilege of playing with over the years is D’Angelo Russell. Pat Bev and D-Lo first crossed paths with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2021, and again with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
Russell heard about Beverley’s recent trade, and the Lakers guard had a four-word message for the Sixers after they let his former teammate go:

D’Angelo Russell Survived Trade Deadline
Russell must have been watching trade news around the NBA closely toward Thursday’s deadline. After all, the 27-year-old was heavily rumored to be on his way out of LA as the Lakers looked to fortify their roster ahead of the second half of the season.
Dejounte Murray was a name that was linked to the Purple and Gold, but apparently, they had no interest in acquiring the services of Russell. The deal ultimately fell through and for now, D-Lo remains a Laker.
Unlike Beverley who will now have to move to another city mid-season, Russell will remain in Hollywood beyond the trade deadline.
