Unlike Friday night’s win against the Cavaliers the Bucks didn’t start slow Saturday night against the same Cavs team. But that wasn’t the only difference in the game as the Bucks walked out winners again.
The MVP
Khris’ 3 Tier Scoring
Khris Middleton showed off his long range shooting hitting 4/5 three point attempts. While hitting from downtown Middleton seemed to get just about any shot he wanted. He not only got his typical mid-range game but also got to the rim. Middleton ended with 20 points on 8 of 13 shooting.
Jrue Starting to Gel
Jrue Holiday was brought in to be the third option on this team. And with every game that’s played he seems to be gelling more and more with this team. Leading to yet another productive game where he went 8 for 14 for 20 points including 2 of 4 from 3. While also chipping in 8 assists in just 25 minutes. To say the very least, the Jrue experiment so working nicely for this team.
The Role Players
Unlike Friday where six Bucks players scored in double figures, only four scored in double figures in this one. Bobby Portis, while scoring only 3 points had a game high plus 28 in 20 minutes of play. While Bryn Fobres showed while the Bucks brought him in scoring 18 points and hitting on all 6 of his 3 point attempts.
Andre Drummond
The only concern from tonight’s game was how productive the double double machine Andre Drummond was. Drummond went 12 of 17 for 28 points and 11 rebounds. However, like last night, the Bucks were able to limit Sexton to just 17 points on 7 of 17 shooting.
Game Notes
- Bucks shot 16 of 34 from deep tonight, including Middleton and Forbes combining for 10 3’s.
- Milwaukee take back to back games in Cleveland with a combined plus 43 in those two games
- Bucks sweep 3 game series with Cavaliers during the regular season
