The Green Bay Packers are on a hot streak right now winning their last three games. What has made it even more impressive is they have done it without one of their best players, Jaire Alexander. He was dealing with a back injury and then a shoulder injury which the team has been cautious with. However, one local radio host, ESPN Milwaukee’s Gary Ellerson, thinks Alexander’s behavior is saying that the star cornerback doesn’t want to be with the team anymore.
"I don't think Jaire Alexander wants to be around in Green Bay anymore. That's what it feels like to me. Move on. I want the guys that want to be here, to play here." – @GaryEllerson

Gary Ellerson Suggests The Green Bay Packers Trade Jaire Alexander
During the show, Ellerson talked about how he thinks that Alexander wants out of Green Bay.
“I don’t think Jaire Alexander wants to be around in Green Bay anymore. That’s what it feels like to me. Move on. I want the guys that want to be here, to play here.”
This comes on the heels of a press session in the locker room where Alexander was up to his usual antics. However, nothing seemed out of the ordinary for the star cornerback. He was decked out in lots of colors which is not uncommon for Alexander. He spoke positively about the team and how his rehab was going. Ellerson indicates that this behavior screams he wants to move on. The radio host goes on to encourage the Packers to move him and stick with Carrington Vallentine and Corey Ballentine.
More Than A Feeling
I’m going to need more than a feeling before I believe this completely. I didn’t find Alexander’s press conference to be all that odd. Watch any Alexander press conference or interview over the last couple of years. He is clearly behind the team as part of his press conference was sticking it to the press that he told them they were going to run the table. Brian Gutekunst should always listen to offers but I doubt he is actively looking to move their best corner. The injuries stink but the Packers want to make sure that Alexander is healthy long term and not simply for week 14.
Will the Packers entertain some trade offers for veterans in the offseason? Maybe but it would surprise me a lot if the team moved on from Jaire Alexander at this point.
