After suffering a hamstring injury, wide receiver Christian Watson has missed the first three games of the Green Bay Packers‘ season.
With the Packers hosting the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football, the turnaround between games didn’t really give players a whole lot of time to recover from injuries.
Watson did practice last week, however, but didn’t participate in Sunday’s game. Nonetheless, there’s been an update in regard to his status for Thursday.
Christian Watson Expected to Play for the Packers on Thursday
The Packers did not practice on Monday due to the short week as they play on Thursday, but if they did, coach Matt LaFleur had Watson as unavailable for practice. But, there should be an update with Tuesday’s report giving us a better idea of what things are looking like for Thursday night.
During locker room media at Lambeau Field, Watson was asked if he was going to play on Thursday. His response?
This is huge news for the Packers going into the the anticipated NFC North showdown.
Additional Injury Updates
As far as other injuries go, Matt Schneidman reported that Romeo Dobbs revealed that the team will also have Aaron Jones back, another huge plus in making sure the team secures the win on Thursday.
At the time of writing this, there hasn’t been any updates given on players such as David Bakhtiari (knee), Jaire Alexander (back), Zack Tom (knee), or even De’Vondre Campbell (ankle), but I assume that’ll be discussed later today and become available once the injury report for Tuesday has been posted.
Wide receiver Christian Watson is set to return for the Green Bay Packers in their upcoming game against the Detroit Lions. After missing the first three games due to a hamstring injury, Watson’s anticipated comeback is a significant boost for the Packers.
