Is there trouble between the San Francisco 49ers and their star wide receiver, Deebo Samuel? First, many noticed that Samuel had un-followed the team on Instagram. However then it was noticed he did this:
Deebo Samuel has removed his #49ers profile picture, unfollowed the team, and has deleted over 80 posts (was at 248, now at 164) from his Instagram account.
Deebo is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

Deebo Samuel is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is looking to get PAID. Deebo falls into the same category as DK Metcalf, Terry McLaurin, and AJ Brown. Star wide receivers who are currently criminally underpaid. Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill have reset the wide receiver market and now all teams are going to have to match those contracts (or close to it).
Kyler Murray did a similar thing with his social media this off-season. Per Murray’s agent, “if the Cardinals are serious about winning a Super Bowl, they’ll re-sign Kyler.” There may be something to this Deebo Samuel social media activity, or it may be nothing. I wouldn’t bank on it being nothing though.
