The Vegas Golden Knights won the NHL Stanley Cup on Tuesday night in convincing fashion, with a 9-3 win at home against the Florida Panthers. It was their first title in franchise history, and they did it in their first six years of existence. It is never too early to talk about the 2024 Stanley Cup odds. The Milwaukee Admirals’ parent club, the Nashville Predators, have +5000 odds to win it all next season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
2024 Stanley Cup Odds: Milwaukee Admirals NHL Team Predators’ Chances
Those odds mean that Nashville will most likely not make it to the playoffs next season. There are at least four teams in the NHL Central Division that have better 2024 Stanley Cup odds than them. That icnldues the Colorado Avalanche at +800 (the betting favorites), the Dallas Stars at +1700, the Minnesota Wild at +3200, and the Winnipeg Jets at +4000 odds.
The Nashville Predators will be heading in an interesting direction next season. They hired a new coach during the offseason, Andrew Brunette, after firing John Hynes. Barry Trotz has also taken over for David Poile in the front office.
Questions Surrounding the Nashville Predators
One of the questions Nashville will have to answer is, are they rebuilding, retooling, or looking to win now? They will be fielding calls on goalie Juuse Saros during the offseason. If he is shopped for a boat haul of picks, prospects, or players, it will be interesting to see which team he goes to.
The Milwaukee Admirals do have an NHL-ready goalie in Devin Cooley, who is set to become a free agent. Would the Nashville Predators keep him within the organization, or would they move on from him? Yaroslav Askarov needs some more time in the Minors to develop, and the other goalie on the parent club is Kevin Lahkonen.
Some of the players that are expected to compete for a roster spot from Milwaukee next season are Joakim Kemell, Kiefer Sherwood, Zach Sanford, and Anthony Angello. Some will probably wind back up with the Milwaukee Admirals in the American Hockey League. The Nashville Predators organization from within could use some more help in the long haul.
On FanDuel Sportsbook, other than the Colorado Avalanche being the favorites next season, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Edmonton Oilers have the second-best odds to win it at all at +1100. There are five teams next season that have +1300 odds to win it all as the third-best 2024 Stanley Cup odds. Those teams are the Boston Bruins, the New Jersey Devils, the Vegas Golden Knights, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
It would not be worth the risk to bet on the Nashville Predators to win the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Title. Nashville has only won one title in franchise history. The Nashville Predators haven’t been to the Finals since 2017. In that season, they lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins in six games.
