The #11 Wisconsin Badgers suffered a bad road loss against the unranked Penn State Nittany Lions and they will now turn the page to Friday night’s action against the unranked Indiana Hoosiers. It will be a home game for Wisconsin and tipoff will be at 7:30 p.m. CT and it will be televised on FS1.
This is the kind of game that Greg Gard’s squad will have to be focused out of the gates because they did not do a very good job of that on Tuesday. The energy will have to start on the defensive end of the floor. Wisconsin has a 13-4 record this season and a 5-1 BIG10 Conference record. As for Indiana, they have a 12-6 record overall and a 4-3 record in BIG10 Conference play.
The Hoosiers are a much better team than the Nittany Lions are, so there should be no issue getting up for this matchup. In the last game, Wisconsin had five players score in double figures. AJ Storr led the way with 23 points for the Wisconsin Badgers.
Steven Crowl scored 17 points, John Blackwell scored 14 points, Tyler Wahl scored 11 points, and Max Klesmit also added 10 points for Wisconsin. They will all need to score again in order for the Badgers to come out on top in this one.
Players To Watch For on the Indiana Hoosiers Against the Wisconsin Badgers
The Indiana Hoosiers lost their last game in convincing fashion against in-state rival the Purdue Boilermakers by a final score of 87-66 on Tuesday at home. Indiana is coached by Mike Woodson. The Hoosiers only had two players in that matchup score in double figures.
Trey Galloway scored 17 points for Indiana and Mackenzie Mgbako also added 15 points for the Indiana Hoosiers. As long as the Wisconsin Badgers play well on the defensive end against Indiana, they will be fine because they will get their baskets.
Wisconsin needs to do some home cooking on Friday night. This is a game that they should win, but they will lose if they take Indiana lightly.
