Wednesday Night The Milwaukee Bucks only needed a win or a Boston loss to Clinch the 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and NBA. This means Bucks would have Court Advantage throughout the entire Playoffs including the NBA Finals in June. The win didn’t come Easy. Giannis Antetokounmpo sat out tonight with Right Knee soreness, Pat Connaughton and Grayson Allen were also out with right ankle sprains. Bucks were trailing at Halftime (51-49). A very rocky 2nd quarter compared to a pretty good 1st quarter. Bucks lead by 7 (28-21) after 1 then Chicago Bulls outscored Milwaukee Bucks 30-21 in the second Quarter.
Quarter 3 was very tight as well but Bucks took back the lead going into the 4th quarter with a 3 point lead (79-76). Then Bucks finally pulled away for good outscoring the Chicago Bulls 26-16 in the final 12 minutes of game to lock up the 1 seed in the Eastern Conference to secure Home Court Advantage.
Bucks and Bulls tonight could be a possible 1st round preview:
With the Bulls Clinching a Play in Tournament Berth Tuesday night they were would have to win both games next week to make it to be the 8th and final seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Therefore with the Bucks Clinching Home Court Advantage now a Bucks Bulls 1st round Matchup is certainly possible. It would be a Rematch of last Year 1st round playoff matchup between both teams with the Bucks winning 4-1. Season Series this season ended up with both teams taking 2 games each 1 in each arena.
Bucks being the 1 seed guarantees all Possible Game 7″s at home:
Of the main reasons Bucks needed Home Court Advantage is because they didn’t want to have to go on the Road for any possible Game 7″s. Especially after losing in a Game 7 in Boston last May in the Eastern Semi Finals. This would be Giannis Antetokounmpo 1st game 7 at Home in a playoff series if it’s necessary. Bucks Record with Giannis in game 7″s are 1-2 and both of those losses in Boston.
With Way how the Standings are shaping up the Bucks wouldn’t see the Boston Celtics until the Eastern Conference Finals. Knowing Bucks are 1 seed and Boston is 2 seed. Bucks would be facing the winner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks 1st round series in the Eastern Semi Finals. Season Series against New York Knicks Bucks won all 3 matchups. With Cleveland Cavaliers spilt 2 games a piece.
