The Milwaukee Bucks, once again, are heading home early following an opening round loss in the NBA Playoffs. This current premature departure came at the hands of the Indiana Pacers and a 120-98 loss in Game Six. Of course, two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the entire series with a soleus injury. His absence undoubtedly affected the outcome of the series.
Without Giannis, the Bucks were forced to rely on their bench to carry a great deal of the weight behind other injured stars Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton. Unfortunately, they simply were not good enough.
One of the players that had to step up in order for Milwaukee to have a chance at advancing was mid-season trade acquisition Patrick Beverley. While he had a great performance in Game Five to keep the Bucks alive in the series, he was unable to match it in Game Six.
Unfortunately, Beverley’s poor showing on Thursday night is the last thing people are talking about in regards to the game.
Milwaukee Bucks Point Guard Patrick Beverley Was Caught on Video Hurling a Ball at a Pacer Fan
With a little over two minutes remaining in the game on Thursday night, Beverley was caught on camera throwing a basketball at a Pacers fan that was seated behind the bench. The video also shows that he hit this fan twice.
As one might expect, the now viral video generated a plethora of responses from analysts and fans alike.
For his part, Beverley posted on social media that himself and the rest of the Bucks bench had been having issues with those fans all night. According to Beverley, they requested help from officials, but nothing was done.
He also stated on social media that, regardless of who was at fault, he needs to be better in situations like that.
Unfortunately, that particular video was just the beginning of the bad press Beverley created for himself on Thursday.
Milwaukee Bucks Guard Patrick Beverley Refuses to Answer Question from ESPN Reporter Who Doesn’t Subscribe to His Podcast
In yet another video that has now gone viral, Beverley refused to answer a question by ESPN reporter Malinda Adams because she is not a subscriber to his podcast, “The Pat Bev Pod.” He further asked her to step out of the media circle so that she could not get any audio bytes from him as he answered the questions of other reporters.

Brian Windhorst, who is known for his constant predictions that Giannis will leave Milwaukee every year, posted: “Veteran producer Malinda Adams happens to be one of the most respected and professional people we have at ESPN. Bev, you’re going to have to make a couple apologies for stuff tonight.”
Courtney Cronin, who covers the Chicago Bears for ESPN, wrote: “Disgusting display of unprofessionalism but those who have covered the NBA/teams Pat Bev has been on (there have been many) know these antics are unfortunately normal for him. Plenty of time to podcast now that your season is over, guy. Stop disrespecting people who are there to do a job. Enough.”
For what it is worth, this is not a new thing for Beverley. Last month, Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel wrote an excellent article about how any Milwaukee media members that want to get answers to their questions from Beverley must first subscribe to his podcast.
She also posted on X that Beverley scolded two Milwaukee reporters for not addressing him properly last month:
This isn’t the first time Pat Beverley has done this
And it wasn’t just me. I know he did it to another Bucks reporter as well this season. https://t.co/eRK7u0Pa9R
He also scolded 2 reporters for not greeting him properly at a press conference after one practice in April https://t.co/ZlJFSgllgj

Beverley has not made public comment in response to this video or the responses to it.
