The Wisconsin Women’s basketball has advanced in the WNIT after a dominant win over Illinois State in their most recent game.
Serah Williams has averaged a double-double and been a defensive powerhouse for the Wisconsin Women’s basketball team this season. Williams was huge in the recent comeback win over the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles with another double-double. Williams and company dominated the Redbirds on the glass to propel themselves to a whopping 25-point victory.
Wisconsin Women’s Basketball Advanced in the WNIT With Dominant Win
The Wisconsin Women’s basketball team has advanced into the Great Eight of the WNIT after defeating Illinois State, 86-61. The Redbirds had been a successful team in the paint all season, but once they came to visit the Kohl Center, the Badgers proved to be too much.
Wisconsin basketball finished the game with five double-digit scorers, and a blazing 47.4% three-point percentage. The Badgers looked unstoppable against the Redbirds as a barrage of triples buried the team in an insurmountable lead. Wisconsin basketball guard Sania Copeland was huge for the Badgers as she dropped 18 points on 7-of-8 shooting.

Between her seven block performance against Southern Indiana, to her most recent performance in the paint against Illinois State, Williams has done it all for the Badgers. Her performances have been crucial for the Badgers recent success, and she could be the key to winning the WNIT.

The Wisconsin Women’s basketball team will face the winner of the upcoming St. Louis versus Purdue-Fort Wayne match-up tonight. Both teams will be potentially tough opponents for the Badgers, but after a dominant win and an incredible comeback, it will be hard to beat this Wisconsin team. The Badgers are playing their best basketball all season and hopefully they can ride this momentum into the Finals.
