During a recent Wisconsin Sports Heroics exclusive interview, Menomonee Falls athlete Nolan Anderson spoke about a variety of topics.
Anderson, a three-star athlete in the 2025 recruiting class, has been a standout at Menomonee Falls who just changed positions this past season. At a recent Wisconsin football camp, the defensive back got his chance to shine and earned his sixth Division 1 scholarship offer. After changing positions, Anderson feels like he has just barely touched the surface of his skills on the field.
Three-Star Defensive Back Nolan Anderson Shines During Recent Wisconsin Football Camp
During a recent camp at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the Wisconsin football coaches were in attendance for the ‘Mega Camp’. Among the participants in the camp was 2025 three-star athlete Nolan Anderson, who received a chance to showcase his new found abilities as a defensive back. Anderson is coming off of his first season ever playing as a safety and nickel cornerback for his team.
Anderson stated that, “It was a decision I made since I have all the tools to succeed as a defensive back,” when asked about the position change. The defensive back had all the support of his coaches and feels he has plenty of potential to grow into the position.
Anderson currently holds six scholarship offers, with his sixth coming right after the recent ‘Mega Camp’ that the defensive back starred at. The athlete feels his continued development at the position and the reps he is receiving in camps could lead to more offers this Summer.
Nolan Anderson: ‘I Feel I Have a Very High Ceiling’
For the defensive back, the move to his new position was something that felt natural due to his size and tools on the field. When asked about his collegiate recruitment and his potential at the new position, Anderson said the following:
“I think it’s started off pretty strong, this past season was my first year ever playing [Defensive Back] so I feel I have a very high ceiling at the safety and nickel positions and I’m really excited to continue working and see what other schools will offer this Summer.” – Nolan Anderson on his potential and college recruiting experience.
Anderson also feels as though the position change has opened a whole new world for him as a player due to the change in potential. The athlete feels more comfortable playing safety even with limited experience in the position, and has played well on the field while still learning his position. Anderson also stated that with more “game reps” and “individual work” he can excel at the position rapidly.
For Anderson, the Best and Biggest Offers are Still Yet to Come
Anderson is still an under-the-radar recruit who has not experience a ton of collegiate attention yet. However, Anderson has all the tools to succeed in his new position and feels the best is truly yet to come in terms of scholarship offers. Two of the initial schools to offer Anderson were Army and Air Force, two notable service academies that come with potentially lofty off-field duties.
When asked about the meaning behind those offers, Anderson stated, “I feel extremely honored to have both of those amazing opportunities available.” While attending a service academy would be honorable, the true end goal for Anderson comes in the form of Big Ten Conference offers. Anderson admittedly does not have a “dream school” offer he is waiting for, but as a longtime fan of the conference he hopes to one day be apart of it.
Nolan Anderson also went on to state, “I don’t necessarily have a specific school in mind but having the opportunity to play in the Big Ten in the Midwest would be a dream come true.” The Wisconsin football staff has kept a close eye on Anderson recently, and could become one of those teams in play in the future.
