Once the 2022 season ended, Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver Markus Allen entered the transfer portal. He even committed to rival Minnesota at one point. He then changed his mind, decommitted, and returned to Wisconsin.
His re-commitment was not to last, however. Allen announced on Twitter today that he is officially entering the transfer portal again.

As Allen notes, he has three years of eligbility remaining.
Why Is Markus Allen Transferring Away from the Wisconsin Badgers
It likely will be a while before anyone outside of Allen and his inner circle find out why the wide receiver has decided to enter the transfer portal again. As he notes in his Tweet, he will not be taking any questions or interviews.
However, it can be surmised that he may not see himself as a fit in the new Luke Fickell-Phil Longo offense. Despite their intention to have a more balanced offense that blends the running and passing games, perhaps Allen felt that, after spring workouts, that he still would not have a big role on the team.
Last season, Allen had seven receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. The year before, he had just three receptions for 65 yards.
Of course, Coach Fickell has been active in the transfer portal himself, and has nabbed several high-profile wide receivers in the process.
In any case, Allen will no longer be wearing a Badgers uniform. Hopefully he finds the best situation for himself and can be productive elsewhere. We just hope it is not in the Big Ten.
