The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team has a strong incoming class of freshmen. Recently, two of their former recruits, who have signed with the team, were announced as Gatorade Players of the Year in their respective states.
Previewing the Wisconsin Badgers 2025 freshmen class
There are five freshmen who will be joining the Badgers next season.
- Addy Horner – 6’3″ setter/opposite hitter
- Madison Quest – 6’3″ outside hitter
- Natalie Wardlow – 6’4″ middle blocker
- Aniya Warren 5’8″ libero
- Kristen Simon 5’8″ libero
Madison Quest was announced as a Gatorade Players of the Year
Winning her second Gatorade Player of the Year award for the state of Wisconsin was Madison Quest. Quest helped the Divine Savior Holy Angels volleyball team win their third consecutive State Championship this year while amassing 504 kills and a .366 hitting percentage. According to one site, she comes in as the thirteenth best recruit in the country.
Kristen Simon was announced as a Gatorade Player of the Year
In Kentucky, Kristen Simon became the 14th Gatorade Player of the Year award winner from Assumption High School. She previously was announced as the KVCA Defensive Player of the Year. Her senior year, she recorded 464 digs, 59 aces, and 28 defensive assists. She is a top top recruit in the country, ranging anywhere from 19th-22nd depending upon the site.
