Wisconsin Badgers basketball head coach Greg Gard previously said that their team is fractured without members of their starting five.

That showed in their frustrating loss to Penn State Nittany Lions where they did not have senior guard Max Klesmit and then lost Nolan Winter 13 minutes after.
“(Klesmit and Winter are) starting for a reason, because they’re among our best five players,” he said after the loss to the Lions.
“So you have two starters, one we’ve missed for three games and then you have another (get hurt), it puts more pressure on (Steven Crowl), he’s got to play more minutes because there’s another big that’s out of the lineup.”

Klesmit is battling lower body injury all throughout the season. He previously missed multiple games because of this although the team was able to hold the forth without him.
As for Winter, he was shut down in the game after getting injured after a put back dunk.
Wisconsin Badgers will have Klesmit back but Winter is probable
“Feeling good. Gonna play.”
That’s what Klesmit told reporters on Tuesday when asked if he will be ready for the Big Ten Tournament.
Klesmit added that he has been working hard to return although the the major issue for him is on the mental side.
“Really just trying to be there for my teammates still. It’s been hard,” he said.

“It’s been more on the mental side. I’ve gotta do whatever is best for me to get my body in a position to play these games and be out there with the guys. think I’ve put myself in a really good position to make a deep run in this Big Ten Tournament and this NCAA Tournament.”
Winter is probable but Gard said the 6’11 forward is already feeling good.
“The plan is he will be back and ready to go.”
