The Wisconsin Badgers are 2-0 to start the college football season, but they have not dominated in any of the games. Wisconsin will be facing a different kind of opponent this weekend when they welcome #4 Alabama Crimson Tide to town.
For this marquee matchup, this game will kick off at 11 a.m. CT on FOX. This game will be played at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. Alabama could be the best team that the Badgers face on their schedule all season long.
The Wisconsin Badgers are Massive Underdogs Against the Alabama Crimson Tide
The Crimson Tide is one of the best teams in the country entering the third week of college football. Alabama is one of six teams in the SEC Conference that is ranked in the AP Top 10. The Alabama Crimson Tide only had a 14-13 lead against the USF Bulls entering the fourth quarter last week until they pulled away against the Bulls by a final score of 42-16.
If the Crimson Tide do that again against the Wisconsin Badgers on the road, maybe they could lose this time around. However, FanDuel Sportsbook has the Badgers as massive underdogs this week. Alabama is favored by -15.5 points this weekend. The odds for the spread are set at -110.
As for the over/under, the points total is at 50.5 total points. The over is set at -108 odds and the under is set at -112 odds. Interestingly, the Badgers are underdogs by that many points.
Players To Watch For On Alabama
Quarterback Jalen Milroe has completed 65.7% of his passes for 394 yards and five touchdowns. He has yet to throw an interception this season. Milroe has also rushed for 81 yards on 22 carries and four touchdowns, along with averaging 3.7 yards per carry.
Running back Jam Miller has rushed for 194 yards on 20 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 9.7 yards per catch. Freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams is a player who could potentially torch this Wisconsin Badgers defense. He has caught six passes for 207 yards receiving and three touchdowns, along with averaging 34.5 yards per catch.
The Wisconsin Badgers could make things interesting in the first half against the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, Alabama has better athletes on the field than Wisconsin does and will pull away in the second half.
