Former Wisconsin Badgers Sam Dekker was watching the BIG10 title game on Sunday between the Badgers and the Illinois Fighting Illini. Wisconsin lost the game against Illinois 93-87, but the Badgers problem this season has not been offense at all.
During the 22-13 year up to this point, Wisconsin is averaging 75.1 points per game, which is ranked seventh in the BIG10 Conference. However, Sam Dekker responded to a fan during the game on Twitter with this:
We also “haven’t had a dynamic offense like this in decades!” according to CBS. Even though we had the most efficient offense in NCAA history. https://t.co/VD8tyDjVxM

Former Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Star Sam Dekker Was On Back-to-Back Final Four Teams Because Of the Offense
The Badgers made it to back-to-back Final Fours in 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. Wisconsin lost to the Kentucky Wildcats in the semifinals in 2014 and in 2015, they defeated the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats in the semifinals before losing to the Duke Blue Devils in the NCAA Championship Game.
In the year they knocked off Kentucky, they had several NBA players on that roster. Some of the names that were on that roster included: Devin Booker, Karl-Anthony Towns, Wille Cauley-Stein, and Tyler Ullis.
Dekker played three seasons with Wisconsin and averaged 12.4 PPG during his sophomore season in 2013-2014 and averaged 13.9 PPG in 2014-2015. He was part of a big three that included him, Frank Kaminsky, and Nigel Hayes under head coach Bo Ryan.
When they went to the Final Four during his sophomore season, they had a 30-8 record and averaged 73.5 points per game that year. In 2014-2015, the Badgers had a 36-4 record and averaged 72,5 points per game in that season.
Sam Dekker is 100% correct about the Badgers offense. The offense they have now led by A.J. Storr is better points per game-wise. Whether they make a run to the Final Four this year is another story. Wisconsin is not a one-seed, they are a five-seed and have a 22-13 record. They were once ranked sixth in the country before hitting a slump. The difference is those Badgers basketball teams had a much better defense than this one does.
