The Wisconsin Badgers have not played since last Tuesday and they will finally get back into game action on Tuesday night on the road against the Indiana Hoosiers. The game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. CT.
Wisconsin’s record this season overall is 18-9 and they are 10-6 in BIG10 Conference play. They are tied for third place in the conference with the Northwestern Wildcats. The #13 Illinois Fighting Illini and #2 Purdue Boilermakers are the only teams ahead of them in the conference.
In the Badgers’ last game played on Tuesday, February 20 at home, they defeated the Maryland Terrapins by a final score of 74-70. Greg Gard’s squad had four different players score in double figures against Maryland. Tyler Wahl scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded one assist in that contest.
Max Klesmit scored 16 points, Chucky Hepburn scored 11 points, and AJ Storr also grabbed 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Rebounding the basketball has to be one of the emphasizes of this basketball team moving forward. They will need to be energetic on the defensive end of the floor.
Players To Watch For on the Indiana Hoosiers Against the Wisconsin Badgers
Indiana has a 14-13 record this season overall in college basketball and they have a 6-10 record in BIG10 Conference play. The Hoosiers have been underachieving this season under head coach Mike Woodson. Indiana is looking to avoid the season sweep against Wisconsin.
They last played on January 19 and the Badgers won that meeting 91-79 in Madison, Wisconsin. Indiana last played on Saturday, February 24 against the Penn State Nittany Lions and lost by a final score of 83-74 on the road.
Malik Reneau scored 27 points, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded one assist for the Indiana Hoosiers against Penn State. Kel’el Ware scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds against the Nittany Lions. Trey Galloway also added 11 points for Indiana.
This is a game that the Wisconsin Badgers need to win, but this is the ultimate trap game for them on the road. Playing road games has not been kind to Wisconsin as of late. However, the Badgers offense will get humming against this Hoosiers defense. This could very well be an 80-76 win for the Badgers over the Hoosiers.
