Wisconsin Badgers have won eight of their last ten and have an identical overall record with Purdue Boilermakers. One would think that the coming days should be rewarded as rest period for hardworking players. Not Greg Gard.

The Badgers capped off last week with a victory over Iowa Hawkeyes before going for a full week with no scheduled game.
The team will remain busy, however, as according to Gard, they can’t allow themselves to go dull when they face Purdue who are three spots above them in their conference.
“Not satisfied, I’ll say that and I was just telling the guys,” Gard said when asked if he was satisfied with the win over Iowa.
“This isn’t the time to take a breath. We’re gonna continue to get better, and to find ways to sharpen ourselves individually, and collectively.”
His boys have been working hard and they are reaping what they planted. Against Iowa, they set a program record by hitting 14 threes, the tenth they did it this season.

Before Iowa, the Badgers went on a two-game winning streak by walking over Northwestern Wildcats and the Indiana Hoosiers.
It should have been a 12-game winning streak but they fell prey to the UCLA Bruins last January 21.
Greg Gard reveals plan over the next 7 days
Gard on the drawing board and game films will remain restless and won’t be complacent.
That’s what he wants his players to do, too.

We’ve got a lot of season left. We’ll use this week to get healthier and rested, and then use the back half to prep for Purdue. They know, and they’ve been around me long enough to know that, other than going home to hang out with my wife, there’s not much relaxing with me with things like this.
There’s this competitiveness, and we can’t dial that back. We feel really good today, and we ain’t going back to it. We’ve got an edge established to it, and we’ve got to keep it.”
The game against Purdue will be held on February 15 at the Mackey Arena.
