The 23rd-ranked Wisconsin Badgers will have another tough test on Saturday afternoon on the road when they face the top-ranked Arizona Wildcats. The game is scheduled to tip off at 2:15 p.m. CT. Arizona has not played in a week and they defeated Colgate last Saturday 82-55.
Tommy Lloyd is the head coach of the Wildcats. Four players scored in double figures against Colgate for the Arizona Wildcats. Caleb Love led the way for Arizona with 14 points. He has been great for them this season after playing with the North Carolina Tar Heels the last few seasons. Love also grabbed eight rebounds and recorded three assists.
Oumar Ballo also recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, along with recording one assist. Keshad Johnson and Pelle Larsson each scored 10 points in the last game for Arizona. This is a very deep basketball team and they are 7-0 entering this basketball game.
As for Greg Gard’s squad, they have a 7-2 record on the year. Wisconsin is going to put its six-game winning streak on the line and their last two wins are against the #8 Marquette Golden Eagles and the Michigan State Spartans in BIG10 Conference Play.
Wisconsin Badgers May Get Worn Down Against the Arizona Wildcats
It is a nice story that Wisconsin has won six straight games and appear to be turning the corner under Greg Gard. It is a tall ask for this team to go on the road once again after beating Marquette and Michigan State the last two games. A possible slip-up is due.
AJ Storr did score 22 points and grab five rebounds against Michigan State. He will need to be efficient if they want to make it a game against the Arizona Wildcats. Steven Crowl also added 18 points and John Blackwell also scored 10 points off the bench for the Badgers. If Wisconsin is able to pull off the upset, they would move up the standings and it would be the Wildcats’ first loss of the season.
