Did the Green Bay Packers overachieve or underachieve this 2024 season? Tight end Tucker Kraft is putting things into perspective.
His team exited the playoffs with a wildcard round loss to no. 2 seed Philadelphia Eagles despite having a better regular season finish record-wise compared to last year.
In comparison to the last season, they were able to reach the divisional round after they beat the Dallas Cowboys in the wildcard round.
Kraft is holding on to the good things about their season and believe they gained a lot of things to build on for the next season.
“I wouldn’t necessarily say that the season was a failure. We learned a lot about some of the individuals on the team and how these players can impact future of this building. So, not a complete failure. But like I said, just disappointing.
The 24-year-old tight end was one of those who did not disappoint in the loss, catching all five target passes from quarterback Jordan Love.
Tucker Kraft calls on team to wake up
Before talking about the way their season ended, Kraft said the team knows something was already brewing for them and they just need to make plays.
He said he hears his teammates talk about how they are not contented with just making the playoffs but he believes they are yet to show that on the gridiron.
“Everybody talks about how we’re not okay with just making the playoffs but we’ve yet to, you know, walk the walk.
What can he contribute to change that? Kraft said he will try to become more of a leader.
“Going forward, I’m gonna embrace everything that I’ve put in to this game and then take on a little bit more of leadership role, try to get people on the same wavelength I’m at. I feel like I have a lot to offer from that aspect.
