Packers Have ‘Particular Interest’ In Dynamic NFL Draft WR

The Green Bay Packers seem to be have made a big decision on the direction they are heading at the quarterback position. After allowing the New York Jets to both speak with and meet Aaron Rodgers in person, there is very little belief that the longtime superstar will return to Green Bay. That would signal a change to Jordan Love under center, which would make the approach this offseason change a bit.

If Rodgers had stayed, the Packers likely would have tried to swing big for one more run at a Super Bowl. Now, they can instead focus on building to win both now and in the future. There is no huge time crunch anymore.

Love has proven that he has taken big steps forward over the last couple of years. The Packers have to feel good about the position their offense is in right now. In addition to Love, they have two young wide receivers in Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs who have unlimited potential.

Now, the Packers could look to add another young talented wide receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft to give Love another weapon. One player in particular seems to be of interest.

Packers Have “Particular Interest” In Dynamic NFL Draft Wide Receiver

According to a report from Acme Packing Company, the Packers have a “particular interest” in Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Jalin Hyatt. They mentioned that Chris Olave was a player that Green Bay targeted last year in the NFL Draft, and that they hold Hyatt to the same level of interest.

Last draft cycle, multiple sources told me that Ohio State’s Chris Olave (187 pounds) was of particular interest to the team. Down in Indianapolis last week, multiple people told me that Hyatt is held in the same regard by the Packers’ scouts. Hopefully, a team won’t trade three top-120 picks to move up for Hyatt like the New Orleans Saints did for Olave last year.

Hyatt would certainly be an intriguing target for the Packers. He would slide in right alongside Watson and Doubs as wideouts who have the potential to turn into stars down the road.

During the 2022 season for the Volunteers, Hyatt ended up catching 67 passes for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns. Those numbers show why Green Bay would have a high level of interest in adding him to their offense.

Standing in at 6-foot-0 and 180 pounds, Hyatt brings a lot of speed and athleticism to the field. In fact, NFL.com has compared Hyatt to longtime NFL dynamic wideout DeSean Jackson.

Expect to see the Packers target Hyatt in the upcoming NFL Draft. He would add more playmaking to the offense and could be the missing piece that Love can grow with to create an elite offense.
