The Green Bay Packers are showing the league that Jordan Love and company is a force to be reckoned with in this league. Green Bay had made the playoffs in both years with Love as the full time starter. Now it will be building on that post season success.
However, could a former legend find his way back to Green Bay for a late run?
“I’m Ready” Packers Fans Erupt After “Door Is Wide Open” For 3x All-Pro To Return (Report)
In an interview earlier this season, Davante Adams talked about his departure from the Packers. Although he says he doesn’t regret leaving, it is very likely like he is missing out on playing with another star quarterback in Green and Gold:
“At the time when I was there [in Green Bay], I hadn’t seen enough [of Love], to say for sure ‘this is what I should do [stay with the Packers],’” Adams said on Maxx Crosby’s podcast.
“In hindsight, like we talked about, the kid [Love] is a f—ing baller, man. I’m so happy for him. I haven’t had the chance to truly sit down and talk with him, but I want to tell him at some point ‘I definitely don’t regret changing [teams], but I’m super proud of what you’ve done.
If there was a way I could pull you over here and drag you with me that would have been cool too because we saw what he did at the end of the year [throw 23 touchdowns and only three interceptions in his last 10 games including the playoffs].’”
According to Spotrac, Adams’ market value, should be hit free agency, is two-years and $27.1 million. That is an average of about $13.5 million a year. Green Bay can afford that.
The thought of Adams returning to Green Bay had been going viral with fans:
