The Green Bay Packers haven’t been a stranger to their coaches interviewing for promotions this off-season. no matter how their season ended, Green Bay did a lot of incredible things this season that caught the attention of other NFL organizations.
One of those coaches is the “top pick” for an AFC fan base.
“He Is My Choice!” Packers Coach Begged To Join New Team (Report)
Anthony Campanile was interviewed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as their defensive coordinator candidate:
The Jaguars announced Tuesday that Campanile, who just completed his first season with the Packers, had interviewed with new head coach Liam Coen on Tuesday.
Campanile joins three other assistants who have interviewed for the job: former Las Vegas defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, Minnesota passing game coordinator Daronte Jones and Los Angeles Rams passing game coordinator Aubrey Pleasant.
The Packers considered it a coup when they were able to hire Campanile to serve under first-year defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. The two had served as assistants at Rutgers and Boston College but never at the same time. However, they were friends, and Hafley was able to sell the highly regarded Campanile on joining him in Green Bay.
