AJ Dillon is not just a great player on the field. He is a great person and loves to give back to the community. If you follow any of Dillon’s social media accounts, you know he is active in the Green Bay area. It is one of the reasons, that and his enormous quads, that he is a fan favorite in Green Bay. On Friday night, AJ Dillon and his wife Gabrielle raised a huge amount for charity.

House of Hope is a charity that provides emergency shelter and housing stability for young parents who find themselves homeless. The charity makes sure that young parents and their children do not have to live on the streets. At the ‘Touchdowns for Hope Charity Gala’, AJ Dillon and his wife raised over $250,000 last night. It is great to see any player give back and for many charities, this amount can cover a large amount of operating costs.
Giving Back Is A Huge Part Of The NFL
The NFL encourages its players to give back to communities. Every year the Walter Payton Man of the Year award is a huge honor and often is made a bigger deal than other awards. Even with the encouragement of the league, not all players give back. It says a lot about AJ Dillon as a person, and the person he married, that they are choosing to make an impact on the community they live in. Football is a huge part of the Green Bay community but the money raised could have a huge impact on someone’s life.
I love any time AJ Dillon interacts with fans. He seems genuinely so happy to be in Green Bay and be in this community. While others crave the big market, Dillon is clearly finding that Green Bay is an awesome city to be a part of.
