On Sunday afternoon, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur gave a brief update on the injuries that occurred during their game against the Cincinnati Bengals Friday night.
The Packers received bad news Saturday about second-string tight end Tyler Davis. Davis suffered a torn ACL against the Bengals. He will miss most, if not all, of the Packers’ season.
Several other players were injured Friday. Running back Tyler Goodson, who scored a touchdown against the Bengals, had to leave the game. Offensive linemen Luke Tenuta and Caleb Jones had to leave the game. Cornerback Corey Ballentine sustained an injury as well.
Green Bay Packers RT Luke Tenuta has a long-term injury
According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, LaFleur said injuries to Goodson, Ballentine, and Jones don’t seem serious. However, offensive tackle Tenuta is more long-term. Tenuta had to be carted off of the field Friday night.
Matt LaFleur implies that Luke Tenuta’s ankle injury is long term. Injuries from Friday to Tyler Goodson, Corey Ballentine and Caleb Jones don’t seem as serious.

The Bills drafted Tenuta in the sixth round of the 2022 draft. He was claimed off waivers by the Packers in December. Tenuta was slotted as the Packers’ third-string right tackle heading into the Bengals game.
Tenuta needed a strong pre-season showing to make the 53-man roster or find a spot on a practice squad. Unfortunately, it appears his injury will be a major setback.
