The Green Bay Packers saw several players leave their preseason game Friday night against the Cincinnati Bengals after sustaining an injury. One player’s injury has been deemed serious.
The Packers had nine players miss the game for health reasons, including cornerback Jaire Alexander. That isn’t too uncommon, as the Packers don’t want to risk their starters in the preseason.
Some of the team’s backups were hurt. Two offensive linemen and running back Tyler Goodson left the game with injuries. Goodson scored the Packers’ second touchdown of the game.
The Packers also saw tight end Tyler Davis leave the game with an injury. Davis also scored a touchdown for the Packers Friday night. Davis appeared to be in pain when he left the field.

Davis is a massive loss for the Packers’ tight end room. He was second on the depth chart the team released earlier this week. Davis would have added an experienced presence on a group that will ask two rookies, Luke Musgraves, and Tucker Kraft, to play a lot of snaps this year.
Update:
Per the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero Saturday morning, Davis has been ruled to have torn his ACL. He will be expected to miss the entirety of the 2023 season.
