The Green Bay Packers showed interest in a former Houston Texans linebacker Sunday. The Packers looked at a few potential linebackers as one of their starters, De’Vondre Campbell, battled an ankle injury this week. Campbell’s injury isn’t considered serious, but the Packers’ interest in the position this weekend is something to keep an eye on.

The Packers worked out former Kent State standout Marvin Pierre. But they didn’t stop there. According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Packers worked out former UConn linebacker standout Ian Swenson.

Swenson initially signed with the Houston Texans after the 2023 NFL Draft. Swenson recorded 88 total tackles, four tackles for loss, one interception, and one forced fumble during the 2022 season with UConn.
As of this publishing, the Packers have not signed Pierre or Swenson. However, it’s clear that the Packers are interested in adding a linebacker to the roster.
