For months, fans and NFL analysts have wondered what the Green Bay Packers depth chart will look like in 2023. With such a young team and a commitment to getting younger, there are still many questions regarding who will start and who will not. This week, the Packers are participating in joint practices with the Cincinnati Bengals and will play a preseason game against them this weekend.
Ahead of this contest, the Packers released their first unofficial depth chart for the 2023 NFL Preseason.
Green Bay Packers Depth Chart: Offense
Of course, the most notable change to the Packers depth chart in 2023 will be Jordan Love as the starting quarterback instead of Aaron Rodgers. Additionally, the team boasts two brand new rookie tight ends, a position in which Green Bay has not had a rookie start in almost two decades.
Quarterback: Jordan Love, Sean Clifford, Alex McGough
Running Back: Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, Patrick Taylor, Tyler Goodson, Lew Nichols, Emanuel Wilson, Nate McCrary
Full Back: Josiah Deguara, Henry Pearson
Wide Receiver: Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks, Malik Heath, Cody Chrest
Wide Receiver: Romeo Doubs, Bo Melton, Deuce Watts, Dre Miller
Wide Receiver: Samori Toure, Jayden Reed, Grant DuBose, Jadakis Bonds
Tight End: Luke Musgrave, Tyler Davis, Tucker Kraft, Austin Allen
Left Tackle: David Bakhtiari, Yosh Nijman, Caleb Jones, Kadeem Telfort
Left Guard: Elgton Jenkins, Sean Rhyan, Jean Delance
Center: Josh Myers, Jake Hanson, James Empey
Right Guard: Jon Runyan, Royce Newman, Cole Schneider
Right Tackle: Zach Tom, Rasheed Walker, Luke Tentua
Notable here is the inclusion of Josiah Deguara as a fullback, not as a tight end. It is also interesting that Tyler Davis is ahead of Tucker Kraft on the depth chart, at least for now.
Also of note is Zach Tom as the starting right tackle of Yosh Nijman.
Green Bay Packers Depth Chart: Defense
Last season, Quay Walker was a rookie thrust into a starting role at linebacker. Now some of his fellow second-year players, plus some roster mainstays, are looking to make their way into the starting lineup after the departures of Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry via free agency.
A key battle, too, to look forward to is the second starting safety spot alongside Darnell Savage.
Defensive End: Kenny Clark, Colby Wooden, Antonio Moultrie
Nose Tackle: T.J. Slaton, Jonathan Ford, Chris Slayton
Defensive End: Devonte Wyatt, Karl Brooks, Jason Lewan
Outside Linebacker: Preston Smith, Lukas Van Ness, Kingsley Enagbare, Arron Cosby
Inside Linebacker: De’Vondre Campbell, Isaiah McDuffie, Tariq Carpenter
Inside Linebacker: Quay Walker, Eric Wilson, Jimmy Phillips Jr.

Safety: Darnell Savage, Tarvarius Moore, Anthony Johnson Jr.
Safety: Rudy Ford, Jonathan Owens, Dallin Leavitt, Benny Sapp III
Note that Eric Stokes is still on the PUP list and, therefore, not on the depth chart.
Green Bay Packers Depth Chart: Special Teams
For the first time in decades, the Packers special teams sports a bonified First Team All-Pro at the position. Also for the first time in 16 years, Mason Crosby is not a part of the team.
Kicker: Anders Carlson
Punter: Pat O’Donnell, Daniel Whelan
Holder: Pat O’Donnell, Daniel Whelan
Punt Returner: Keisean Nixon, Jayden Reed, Samori Toure
