The move was announced a few hours after the Jets’ rival, the New England Patriots, signed running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Per WSH Media files, Cook said he was interested in joining the Jets because of Rodgers. The former rival of Rodgers believes he has much to learn from the quarterback in New York.
Rodgers took a $35 million paycut over the next few years so the Jets could land star players like Cook.
Cook will now join a crowded Jets room full of ex-Packers. Cook’s signing adds to must watch aspect of the Jets this season.
