The Green Bay Packers have a chance to keep a 20-year streak going and improve the defense at the same time.
The Packers entered training camp with questions on the defensive line. Green Bay has big shoes to replace in defensive tackle T.J. Slaton, who left for the Cincinnati Bengals in the offseason.

Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, rookie Nazir Stackhouse has had an excellent camp so far for Green Bay. Demovsky thinks the undrafted rookie has a chance to steal a spot on the 53-man roster and extend a streak the Packers have had since 2005, keeping an UDFA on the team.
“(Warren) Brinson’s Georgia teammate, Nazir Stackhouse, appears to be climbing up the depth chart,” Demovsky wrote. “The defensive lineman took a few snaps with the No. 1 offense and looks like he has a chance to be the one to extend the Packers’ streak of having at least one undrafted rookie on the Week 1 roster for another year.
“They’ve had at least one every season dating back to 2005.”
Nazir Stackhouse was a run stopper for Georgia

Stackhouse had a solid career as a defensive lineman at Georgia, where he earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2022 and 2023.
The six-foot-four, 327-pound athlete recorded three sacks and nine tackles for loss during his five seasons with the Bulldogs. The run-stopper made 96 total tackles for Georgia and recorded 27 last season.
Stackhouse, 23, signed with the Packers on May 2.
To make the 53-man roster, Stackhouse will likely have to beat out his former Georgia teammate, Warren Brinson, who the Packers took in the sixth round of April’s draft.
