The Milwaukee Brewers scored eight unanswered runs on Monday afternoon to cap off an incredible come from behind victory against the Chicago Cubs. 43,209 fans were in attendance for the game that was played at American Family Field.
Per usual the stadium was filled with a good mixture of both Brewers and Cubs fans. With these two teams separated by just a few hours drive down I-94 echoes of “Lets go Brewers” and “Lets go Cubs” were heard throughout the contest.
Following the game Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell shared a message for Chicago Cubs fans.
During a post game press conference Craig Counsell discussed his team coming back from down six runs and winning. In doing so he had a message for Cubs fans in attendance as well.
“It’s good coming back from 6-0, so that’s fun. It was a good crowd today for sure. Loud. Obviously lots of Cubs fans. Hopefully they had fun.”
Monday was game one of four of this Brewers and Cubs series. The game on July 4 will start at 1:10 PM CT, Wednesday, July 5 at 7:10 PM CT, and Thursday, July 6 at 1:10 PM CT.
After this four game set the Brewers and Cubs have just two series remaining against one another. Milwaukee will travel to Chicago at the end of August and the Cubs to Milwaukee at the end of September/October in what will be the final series of the regular season.
