It is safe to say that, up to this point, the 2024-25 NBA season has not panned out the way many Milwaukee Bucks fans had hoped it would. Khris Middleton, of course, was not healthy to start the season after reports over the summer indicated he would be fully recovered from bilateral ankle surgery by training camp. Furthermore, at 38-29, the Bucks are far from being one of the most dominant teams in the league.
But for all of the year’s disappointments, there is, at least, one bright spot: Milwaukee has been, overall, pretty healthy. Sure, Giannis Antetokounmpo missed multiple games with a calf strain leading up to the All-Star Break, and Damian Lillard has been banged up here and there.
But no one, save Bobby Portis due to a 25-game suspension, has missed real significant time this year (Middleton now plays for the Washington Wizards).
The same cannot be said, however, for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Rival, the Philadelphia 76ers, Have Lost Paul George for the Rest of the Season

The blunt reality is that the Bucks have not played nearly as well or gone nearly as far in the NBA Playoffs as they probably should have over the last several seasons. There are, of course, many reasons for this, and injuries have certainly played a big role in that.
But, at the very least, Milwaukee has always put a team with the potential of making the postseason on the floor.
The same cannot be said of the 76ers.
Last season, Philadelphia went 47-35 and finished seventh in the NBA Eastern Conference. This year, they are 23-44 and not even in the Play-In Tournament picture.
Joel Embiid, who played just 39 games last season, has appeared in only 19 this year and is out for the rest of the season with ongoing issues with his knee.
Now, they have lost their second star, Paul George, for the rest of the year as well:

George, a nine-time All-Star, has only played 41 games this season and averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.
