Once upon a time, both Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum played together as the Portland Trail Blazers’ primary backcourt pair. Even though the former is playing for the Milwaukee Bucks and the latter for the New Orleans Pelicans, it won’t stop Dame Time from getting trolled on his special day.
Lillard recently celebrated his 34th birthday surrounded by his loved ones. Despite a challenging first season with the Bucks after being traded from the Portland Trail Blazers, the All-Star guard remained in high spirits.
The point guard was drafted sixth overall by the Blazers in 2012 and quickly established himself as one of the league’s elite backcourt stars. He made seven All-Star teams and seven All-NBA teams, including a first-team selection in 2018. Lillard led the Blazers to the playoffs in seven of his 11 seasons with the team, including a Western Conference Finals appearance in 2019. He also won the All-Star Three-Point Contest in 2023 and 2024.
After requesting a trade in 2023, Lillard was dealt to the Bucks in a deal that sent veteran guard Jrue Holiday to Portland. Lillard faced difficulties adjusting to his new team and situation, as well as dealing with personal matters like a divorce.
However, Lillard’s recent 34th birthday celebration, shared on his Instagram, showed him in high spirits with his kids, family and friends. Off the court, Lillard is known for his philanthropic work and music career in addition to his passion for boxing. Despite the ups and downs, Lillard remains focused on enjoying his personal life and continuing his success on the court.
New Orleans Pelicans Guard CJ McCollum Trolls Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard on His Birthday
Even though they’re on different teams now, that won’t stop McCollum from trolling his former teammate. In a screenshot shared on X by Kit Espina, the Pelicans guard directed a joke at Lillard on his special day.

Even though he’s older than McCollum by two years, Lillard is still the more talented of the two. Last season alone, he guard averaged 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game while playing alongside two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Within a couple of months, both Lillard and McCollum will face each other on the court. While they’ll do so as competitors, the bond between them as friends will never change at all.
