The Milwaukee Bucks improved to 30-13 on the season after their 122-113 win over the Detroit Pistons on Monday night. It was a back-and-forth affair for most of the game, but Milwaukee was able to pull away with two minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way with a 31-point triple-double, adding 17 rebounds and 10 assists. He also had three steals and two blocks. Damian Lillard, who scored 45 points the last time the two teams met, added 17 points, eight assists, five rebounds, and a steal.
The feel-good story of the night, though, belongs to three-time All-Star Khris Middleton, who scored 26 points along with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. He was 9/14 from the field, including 2/5 from three, and was a perfect 6/6 from the free throw line.
Not only was it one of Middleton’s highest-scoring games of the season, but his 26 points were significant because they moved him up into third place on the Bucks’ all-time scoring list.

Khris Middleton Reacts to Passing Glenn Robinson on the Milwaukee Bucks All-Time Scoring List
According to Eric Nehm of The Athletic, Middleton had the following to say regarding passing Robinson for third place on the Bucks’ all-time scoring list:
“It means a lot. Just the work that I put in from where I started. I literally started here [in Detroit], just in a different building. But knowing that I didn’t give up on myself once I got traded. During tough times, I stayed with it, had belief in myself, belief in my teammates around me and my coaches.
“So a lot of credit goes to them also, feeding me that confidence. I’m thankful. Thankful for these moments.
“I don’t know if I can creep up a little more, those are two tough guys to get (Giannis and Kareem), but it’s pretty cool to be on that list and be top three in the organization for anything, any stat. I think it just commends the longevity of my career, being here for 11 years now, not a lot of players in the NBA can say they’ve been with one team for so long.”
In addition to being third on the franchise’s all-time scoring list, Middleton is also the team’s all-time leader in three-point field goals made. He also ranks ninth in rebounds, third in assists, and fifth in steals.
Middleton also shared the following post on social media:
From the 2nd round, to the top of the franchise history books. Who knew..? 🤷🏾♂️#Blessed https://t.co/zo345P82t2

Giannis Antetokounmpo Reacts to Khris Middleton Climbing Up the Milwaukee Bucks’ All-Time Scoring List
Also according to Nehm, Giannis had the following to say about Middleton’s achievement:
“Respect this guy. If you’ve followed his journey closely, I’ve been with him 11 years, like you’ve seen him, how hard he’s worked. Every year, he’s come back better. He’s given everything to the game. He’s committed to the game. And just being the third all-time leading scorer for the Bucks, it’s a compliment. It’s not easy to get there. I hope when it’s all said and done, I hope we hold all the records.”
