Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton was ruled out of the remainder of Friday’s In-Season Tournament game against the Washington Wizards with left Achilles soreness, the organization announced.
It appears that Middleton suffered the injury with 10:40 left in the third quarter and headed straight to the locker room, where the Bucks organization said he would be out for the remainder of the game. The forward was replaced by Andre Jackson Jr.

Middleton had seven points, shooting 3-of-8 from the field and one-of-three from the three point range, and also had five assists and a rebound in 13 minutes of play.
Hopefully All is Well for Milwaukee Bucks’ All-Star
This injury comes as a bump in the road as the Bucks are finally starting to get their starting five in a groove, working everyone out with Damian Lillard as he joins the crew of Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Brook Lopez.
Hoping this isn’t something that will lead to an extended leave of absence from Middleton as he’s starting to get healthy and get more playing time. The three-time all-star played in just 33 games last season due to a knee injury that was resolved with a surgery in the offseason. But even with that surgery, Middleton’s playing time was limited to start off the season.
This could be another setback for Khris Middleton, which is something the Bucks don’t want. He’s only missed three games so far this season, and he’s averaging 12 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, and that’s with limited playing time.
The Milwaukee Bucks were able to pull off a big win against the Wizards on Friday, winning 131-128. Milwaukee is now 3-0 in the In-Season Tournament Series.
Coach Adrian Griffin said that Middleton didn’t need to undergo any imaging for his Achilles on Friday, but they’re being cautious, per Eric Nehm of The Athletic.
“I think he had some tightness in his left Achilles and so just took him out for precautionary measures. And then we’ll just evaluate him tomorrow.”
The Bucks will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, marking the first time Lillard will be playing his old team since being traded in September.
