The Milwaukee Bucks were rumored to trade Khris Middleton back to last offseason. Over the last couple of years, Middleton’s health has betrayed him and it has also betrayed this basketball team.
Earlier this season for the Bucks, head coach Doc Rivers decided to remove him from the starting lineup. This move was going to benefit the basketball team moving forward. The Milwaukee Bucks are 26-22 this season.
Milwaukee Bucks Trade Khris Middleton To the Washington Wizards
On Wednesday morning, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charnia that the Milwaukee Bucks traded away Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, and a pick swap to the Washington Wizards for Kyle Kuzma, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and a second-round draft compensation. It is not a surprise that Middleton was traded for Kuzma.
This has been talked about for quite some time now. The new big three for the Milwaukee Bucks are Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Kyle Kuzma. The Bucks may not be done making moves before the NBA trade deadline.

Honestly, I’m not mad at the trade Kuz has shown inconsistency yes, but moving forward it was necessary for Milwaukee. Middleton will be 34 this year, and his production isn’t what it was, and is very injury prone.

Middleton has played in 23 games this season for the Bucks and is averaging 12.9 PPG. As for Kuzma, he is averaging 15.2 PPG in 32 games played this season for the Wizards. Khris Middleton is 33 years old and will have a player option after this season. It would be hard to believe he would accept that player option now with the Wizards.
As for Kyle Kuzma, he is 29 years old. It will be interesting to see if he will be in Milwaukee past the 2024-2025 season.
